Wedding at Na Kmine

WEDDING AT NA KMINE

In recent years, Na Kmine has become one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the Czech Republic. Finding the perfect place to match your vision of a dream wedding can be tricky—but more and more couples are falling in love with the rustic charm, natural elegance, and relaxed countryside atmosphere that Penzion Na Kmine offers. Jíťa and Tom were no exception.

Wedding of Jitka & Tom

Describing their wedding might feel a bit like preaching to the choir—preparations, ceremony, food, party. You know the drill. Still, there are details I’d totally like to highlight that stood out from a planning perspective.

Church Ceremony Nearby? Absolutely.

While many couples opt for an outdoor garden ceremony at Na Kmine, Jítka and Tom wanted something more traditional—a church ceremony in the nearby Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist. It’s a quaint and historic little church, just a few minutes' walk from the venue.

If you're considering the same, don’t worry about the space or lighting. With thoughtful decoration and smart planning, the church becomes a beautiful setting for photos and vows alike.

Live Music That Hits the Right Notes

I absolutely have to mention the musical duo Kristýna and Honza from Your Acoustic Wedding. The combination of guitar and violin brought a deep emotional layer to the ceremony and fit perfectly with the overall vibe. Kristýna also played during the ceremony and part of the afternoon, and honestly, I think she won everyone over.

In the evening, Sound Up Band took over and turned the barn into a full-on party zone. If you're looking for an energetic live band that gets everyone moving (literally—they move around the crowd!), they're a fantastic choice. I get that it might not be for everyone—but if their style speaks to you, go for it!

Why Na Kmíně Works So Well for Bigger Weddings

Let me jump back for a moment to talk about the venue itself.

In my opinion, one of the venue’s biggest advantages is space. If you're inviting 70, 100, or even 200 guests, Na Kmíně can handle it. The spacious barn fits up to 300 guests for the reception and celebration, and in case of bad weather, there's plenty of room for an indoor ceremony as well. The spacious courtyard and surrounding greenery allow guests to roam, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere.

On the other hand If you're planning an intimate wedding with under 30 guests, the venue may feel a little too large.

Accommodation at Na Kmíně: Comfort and Style

The guesthouse offers 14 apartments with a total capacity of 37 guests. The rooms vary in size—great for couples, families, or groups—and there are VIP rooms and a large bridal suite available for special occasions.

TIP: For couples with small children, the guesthouse offers a childcare service. Whether it’s a quick meeting or the whole wedding day, they’ll take care of the kids. The service is run in cooperation with a trained preschool educator.

Location: Just 30 Minutes from Prague

One of the many reasons Na Kmine is so popular? Its easy accessibility from Prague:

- 30 minutes by car from the city center

- about 50 minutes from the airport.

So if you're planning a destination wedding in the Czech Republic, this venue offers the rustic charm of the countryside without sacrificing convenience for you or your guests.

Final thoughts

A wedding at a Kmine truly is the embodiment of authentic countryside charm and relaxed vibes. Guests can stroll through the garden, hang out in the courtyard, sip wine in the barn or enjoy a glass of prosecco under the trees.

And if you're lucky enough to get a sunny day like Jíťa and Tom—and don’t let a few raindrops spoil your mood—you’re in for something truly special.
