I didn’t start with weddings. I started with documentary and street photography. That’s where I learned to watch people, light, and moments that don’t happen twice.

The fashion influence came later, along with a stronger instinct to work with light, composition, and to shape a scene when the moment calls for it.

So for most of a wedding day, I let things unfold as they are. But when I see the chance to create a stronger image, I take control.

I like contrast, colour, and light you can actually see in a photograph. Sometimes soft and subtle. Sometimes hard and direct.

My portraits sit somewhere between wedding photography and fashion. And when the party takes off, I want the photographs to carry the same energy as the dance floor.

I’m not interested in repeating the same visual formula at every wedding. I’d rather respond to the people, the place, the light, and whatever is actually happening in front of me.
