BARN WEDDING AT STODOLA ŽELIV
You have probably never heard of the Stodola Želiv barn and you probably haven't had a chance to see a wedding that would take place there. This is a pretty new wedding venue in the Vysočina mountains at a small village Želiv.
The barn has been under a reconstrucion since last year, and the first wedding there is planned for the end of June this year. And there will be more in the summer.
Stodola Želiv is about 80 minutes of driving from Brno centre and about 70 minut from Prague, which seems to me to be ideal for the wedding guests from all over the country.
What I like about the wedding at the Želiv barn
Now I would like to tell you what I love about the possibility of having a wedding in the Želiv barn.
From my personal point of view, a wedding is a multi-day event. I really like when the guests and the family meet in the afternoon before the wedding and spend the pre-wedding evening together.
Similarly, I love the morning after the wedding, when you meet for breakfast again, sit down for cup of coffee with your friends and enjoy a morning in the sun. That is a perfect ending for the whole wedding.
And that is exactly what the Želiv barn will offer you. When you have a wedding there, you will book the whole place for three full days from Friday to Sunday.
No one will have a wedding there the day before or after you, you will not have to wait for the previous guests to check out and at the same time you will not have to check out early after a whole night wedding party.
For me personally that is what I would love for my wedding (well... if we ever have second wedding with my wife:)
How many guest can you invite
Even in terms of capacity, the barn is generous. You can count on up to 80 guests for the wedding reception inside the barn, and up to 130 guests if you like the option of an outside reception in the wedding tent.
You can accommodate 10 wedding guests and if you have children who will be thrilled by airbeds, you can count 6 more. For other guests there are many opportunities to book a room within about 15 km radius.
So much for basic information.
Wedding day in the barn
For those interested, I definitely recommend to come and see the place on May 22, when the barn will be open for public.
You will see a ceremony, taste the banquet, talk to different wedding proffesionals and see how your wedding in the barn can look like overall.
