WEDDING AT CHATEAU MCELY: ELEGANCE, FERRARI, AND AN EPIC NIGHT PARTY
"Hi Jindra, we want to thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! You completely won everyone over with your amazing approach ❤️ Thank you for turning what is usually an uncomfortable photo session into pure fun. We truly couldn't have chosen better! We can't wait to see the rest of the photos!"
Zaneta & Lubos
When I first sat down with Žaneta over coffee to discuss her vision for the wedding, it was immediately clear that she and Lubos knew exactly what they wanted. The schedule was packed, and since the wedding was set for mid-October, time was going to be tight.
To make the most of the day, everything was planned down to the smallest detail, thanks largely to the wedding coordinators at Chateau Mcely. And there was plenty to plan! But let’s start from the beginning.
CHATEAU MCELY
For those of you who might not be familiar, Chateau Mcely is a stunning castle located not far from Prague. It’s synonymous with luxury, elegance, and unforgettable experiences. Surrounded by expansive gardens, it offers everything you could wish for on your wedding day. How big of a wedding can you host at Chateau Mcely?
Chateau Mcely is perfect for weddings with up to 80 guests, which can be hosted entirely indoors. The maximum capacity is 90 guests for a reception inside the chateau. If you’re planning a larger celebration, you have the option to expand the space with a wedding tent in the gardens.

What about the type of ceremony? That’s entirely up to you. Chateau Mcely offers the option of both civil and religious ceremonies. Whether you dream of modern vows under the open sky or a traditional church wedding, the choice is yours—everything is conveniently located near the chateau.
On-site, you can accommodate up to 55 guests in 24 rooms.
Chateau Mcely boasts not only beautiful architecture but also impeccable service. Every detail is carefully thought out - from the décor to the wedding menu.
The wedding coordinators are more than happy to help you create a wedding concept, recommend trusted vendors, assist in putting together the schedule for the day, and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the big day so you can fully enjoy your wedding experience.
Zaneta and Lubos's Wedding
Zaneta and Lubos's wedding was phenomenal. From the moment we first talked about how the day wouldn’t end with the first dance, but that the party would continue well into the night, I knew it was going to be amazing.
As I arrived, the entire castle was still shrouded in autumn morning mist, and I thought to myself that I’d finally get the chance to create those wedding photos in thick fog that I had been dreaming of.
Unfortunately - or maybe fortunately - it didn’t happen. During the preparations, the mist cleared, and by the time of the ceremony, the sun was shining, highlighting the beautiful autumn colors. And it was wonderfully warm.
Wedding ceremony
The ceremony took place on the mirrored pier in the park behind the castle. And honestly? Of all the wedding decorations and special touches I’ve experienced, this is simply top-notch. The reflection of the blue sky on its surface created an atmosphere that will stay in my memory for a long time.
At the end of the ceremony, a colorful fireworks display was prepared, which no one knew about. Absolutely amazing. My job was just to make sure I captured it from both the ground and the balcony.
After that, everything flowed naturally - champagne tower, the reception, photos, and then straight into the first dance and the party. And this was no boring event. The first part of the party was taken care of by the Aurora Party Band, followed by DJ Sergio Bertolucci.
When I tell you that I finished shooting around 1:30 AM and they were still partying, I don’t think I’m fully capturing just how amazing this event was. People were dancing nonstop - well, nonstop except for the break when the final surprise, a fireworks, awaited everyone.
A big thank you once again to all the vendors who made this wedding so amazing!
